Before proceeding to report an out-of-hours emergency fault please carefully read the below.

An emergency repair is something which poses an immediate risk to your health, safety or security or adversely affects your ability to remain in the property until the office reopens for attention. Where a fault is reported out of hours which is not an emergency we will, as per your tenancy agreement, refill the costs incurred by contractors including call-out charges.

We understand in times of unexpected issues occurring it may be stressful however please check the following before submitting an emergency report:

Power Failure

If you experience power failure you may be experiencing a power cut to the local area. You can check this by calling 105, free of charge, or entering your postcode via the following link Power Cut in Your Area? – SP Energy Networks

Gas Escape/Loss of supply

If you smell gas contact Cadent (formerly Transco) immediately on 0800 111 999

If you have a prepayment meter, ensure you have credit and if you have run out ensure to reconnect the supply by holding the buttons as instructed on the meter

No Water

If you are experiencing issue with water supply, be it low pressure or no supply, please enter your postcode via the following link to find out if it is a Scottish Water issue Latest In Your Area – Scottish Water

Water Escape

Locate the stopcock to isolate the leak and report as normal to lettings@murphyscoular.com

Heating/Hot Water loss

Firstly, please check both power and water supplies are intact as above.

If they are, use the boiler make and model along with the error code displayed on the boiler to troubleshoot the issue as often these are easily fixed with the aid of a YouTube video i.e. loss of pressure, re-set boiler etc

Lock Failure

In the event you are unable to open your door and have access to another means of entry/exit i.e. rear or side door please report as normal for attention to lettings@murphyscoular.com

In the event you are unable to gain entry to your property via a locked door and have no other means of entry i.e. rear/side door please contact Morrisons Locksmiths Ltd on 07716352925 and dependant on the circumstances this may be reimbursed during working hours.

In the event you are unable to securely lock your property please contact Morrisons Locksmiths Ltd on 07716352925 and dependant on the circumstances this may be reimbursed during working hours.

Criminal or Antisocial behaviour

Please contact the police and report to as normal to lettings@murphyscoular.com
